Lisburne School addresses the pressing need for addi- tional specialist school places in the borough. It has replaced Lisburne’s previous facilities, which were spread across three separate sites, including temporary and off-site buildings. The purpose-built facility at the former Offerton School site provides 208 places - an increase of 64 - and is designed to support children aged four to 11 with com- plex needs, such as autism, severe and profound learn- ing difficulties, and physi- cal disabilities. School head Samantha Benson said: “I am so proud ALDERLEY Edge School for Girls (AESG) has receivedwidespreadpraise from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI). The school has reported “outstanding success” after the November inspection team delivered its report on all areas of the school, includ- ing early years, prep school, senior school and sixth form. In a statement posted online the school said: “The Independ- ent Schools Inspectorate has recognised the school’s high standards across all areas of the school including leadership and management, education, wellbeing, and safeguarding. “Under the new nongraded framework, AESG is thrilled to have ‘met’ all of the statu- tory requirements.” AESG also highlighted some of the report’s findings on social media, including: “The school’s aim of producing confident, independent learn- ers with enquiring minds per- meates school life.” Headmistress Caroline Wood, said: “We are abso- lutely thrilled with the results of the ISI inspection, which reflects the continued dedication and hard work of our entire school community. “Our recent inspection suc- cess offers reassurance to par- ents that by choosing Alderley Edge School for Girls to edu- cate their daughters, they are making an outstanding choice for their child’s future.” The school has also pro- duced a new film highlighting life at AESG.
