COMMUNITY Health and Eyecare (CHEC) has been officially welcomed to its new treatment centre at 2 Stockport Exchange.
The six-storey building is already home to BASF, law firm ONP, and multi-let industrial property company Industrials REIT.
CHEC is one of the largest providers of community-based ophthalmology services in the UK, providing treatments for conditions such as glaucoma and cataracts.
In 2022, CHEC also started diagnostic endoscopy services and the new state-of-the-art treatment centre will provide both ophthalmology and endoscopy services.
The £145million, eight-phase, Stockport Exchange development is being delivered by Stockport Council and nationwide placemaker Muse.
Colin MacAlister, cabinet member for economy, regeneration and housing, said: “I was delighted to officially welcome CHEC to their new home at Stockport Exchange, which continues to be hugely popular with businesses from a wide variety of sectors due to its prime location and high specification design.
“It is pleasing that we are able to diversify our offer and tenant mix into the health sector with CHEC.”
